The sea and me....
Like the feather, I decided to explore the shore to feel and see all that was around me. For a week, at every sunrise and sunset, a gift was given to me. As I stepped along the shore, images began to form.
As the waves brushed the shore, still life’s were being born. The array of colors, textures and patterns in the sky were a delight to the eye, as the clouds and the sun greeted each other at dawn and dusk.
As the days passed, of me visiting the shore, my ebullience and gratitude swelled as I absorbed the beauty at the shore. As I stood, watched the day come to life, I wonder if the people along the shore could see what I see?
Taking a run, walking their dogs, was there a moment they took to pause to observe, and see? In one week, my spirit changed as I grew more grateful and joyful for the gifts given to me.
I treasured each sunrise and sunset, at the still life's being formed by the caress of the waves, and the patterns they left behind as the waves retreated to the sea.
As the week passed, a calmness and clarity enveloped me, one that I hoped would stay with me after I depart the sea. Would I still be the same me? A week at the sea has forever changed me.
