South Georgia Island a place filled with life in the harshest of environments.  In such a place one feels how "small" we are in comparison to everything else that roams world. Almost half a million penguins, hundreds of seals, and other birds endure the rapid westerly winds ripping through the island. Penguins curious, loving and loyal. Elephant seals, sexual dimorphism, and aggressive in nature. The first time you experience an island such as South Georgia, you are overrun with emotion.  Quickly I witnessed the courting rituals of penguins, the agressive nature of Elephants Seals when mating, and the harsh reality of dynamics of the animal kingdom.
